About Rev Pat and KC
Rev. Pat Ball was ordained a Unity minister in 2000. She was senior minister at Unity Church of Mississauga for seven wonderful years. During this time, she also served as Secretary for the Association of Unity Churches (Canada) and as a team member of the International Association's Worldwide Services Team.
She continues to serve as chair of the International Association's Pioneering Support Team, a member of the International Association's Ethics Review System Team (ERS), a credentialed Peacemaker/Transition Ministry Consultant and the Alternate Judicatory Representative for Unity Canada. She is also a Spiritual Life Coach and a member of the International Coaching Federation and is working towards credentialling with the ICF.
She and KC live in Allistonl, Ontario, just south of Barrie. In her previous life, Rev Pat worked as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit of the London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Campus. She has three adult children and nine grandchildren, scattered about North America in Ottawa, Calgary and Santa Cruz.
KC, born February 22, 2000, is an adorable black and white miniature poodle and Rev Pat's constant companion. He was named after Kansas City, his city of birth. Rev Pat acquired KC just before moving back to Canada from ministerial school. KC served not only the congregation at Unity of Mississauga but was also certified as a Therapy Dog by the St. John's Ambulance Association. He visited nursing homes with Rev Pat as well as congregants in hospital, nursing homes and their own homes. He continues to have an active counseling practice, offering himself to adults and children alike. His quiet, loving presence allows them to open their hearts and experience unconditional love and acceptance. Of course, he will never refuse a food treat and has to be closely watched around purses and waste baskets!
